- Most GUI features are kept as windows 10 version 1809
- System Insights
- Support for Kubernetes (Beta).

5 Best Features of Windows Server 2019
1. GUI for Windows Server 2019
GUI was a lack in Semiannual release of Windows server 2016. Only Server core (and nano) GUI-less configuration was supported by the Semi-Annual Channel releases.
But now once again you will get both (GUI of Windows Server and the GUI-less ServerCore and Nano releases ) with the LTSc release of windows server 2019 GUI of windows server
2. Project Honolulu
Microsoft formally released Project Honolulu server management tool along with the release of Windows Server 2019.
Project Honolulu is a central console. Because of this, GUI and GUI-less Windows 2019, 2016 and 2012R2 servers in the environments are easily managed by It pros.
So many common tasks are rolled up by the project Honolulu.
Some examples are :
- The management of Windows Services that run on server systems
- Performance monitoring (PerfMon),
- Server configuration
- ettings tasks
The simplicity of management was found by the early adopters.
Because of this the administrator are now easily manage on a mix of servers in their environment.
3. Improvements in security
In order to address an “expect breach” model of security management, Microsoft included built-in security functionality to help the organization.
windows server 2019 includes Windows defender ATP (advanced threat protection). Common vectors of security breaches are accessed by it.
It alerts about potential malicious attacks and automatically blocks it.
Along with the Windows Defender ATP, many other advantages are also there to prevent compromises on Windows Server 2019 systems.
It includes data storage, network transport and security-integrity components
4. Smaller, more efficient containers
More blotted servers are eliminated with thinner and more efficient containers by an organization. The footprints and overhead of IT operations are also minimized.
By achieving a higher density of computing, Windows Insiders have benefited in order to improve overall application operations.
There is no expenditure in hardware server systems or expansion of hardware capacity.
In order to cut virtual machine overhead by 50-80 %, windows server 2019 has smaller, learner serverCore image.
It provides same or more functionality in a significantly smaller image; which in turns lead the organization to lower costs and improve efficiencies in IT investments.
5. Windows subsystem on Linux
Microsoft has done huge optimization for windows with Linux Operation i.e. networking, native filesystem, storage and security controls in his 2019 release.
Container services are natively supported Linux with more features than 2016 release to meet security and scalability.
Download of the windows server 2019 and Windows server 1809 from the Volume Licencing Service Centre (VLSC) was available for Windows Server customer with valid Software Assurance.
